PhyZiodynamic Solutions

Applying Supercomputing to Patient Care

Founded in 1998, Ziosoft began developing image analysis and management solutions based on actual supercomputing software technology. This cutting-edge, technological foundation was originally applied to large amounts of chaotic information for the instantaneous analysis of weather patterns.

After helping to establish one of the largest weather analytical companies in the world, Ziosoft's founder, Kazu Matsumoto, turned to another frontier presenting very similar challenges – the human body – to apply supercomputing technology. As with weather analysis, supercomputing algorithms can provide order to chaotic human body data and change the paradigm of advanced medical visualization and analytics:

  • Highest integrity image (2D-5D) quality – no compression, no lost data, seamless integration
  • Measurable, reproducible results for both anatomical imaging and biomechanics analyses
  • Optimized patient care decision-making process, allowing lowest dose choice
  • Unique, immediate enterprise-wide access and consultation using a true thin-client
  • Up to eight concurrent users per CPU server driving down costs and hardware footprint
  • Economical, scalable, software-based architecture significantly increasing ROI
  • Improved diagnostic confidence yielding appropriate, actionable outcomes
  • Indications-driven workflow and CPT reimbursement support
  • Integrated continuum of patient care to help solve key diagnoses
  • Customizable clinical protocols and automatic pre-processing
  • Growing portfolio of regulatory cleared applications

Leveraging Moore's Law

Moore's Law states that the data density, and hence computer processing capability, of integrated circuits will double approximately every 24 months. This means that the speed and capability of software-based systems, dependent upon processor power, will increase as computer processors become more powerful. Conversely, GPU hardware-based systems do not fully benefit from the rapidly increasing power of computer processors.

PhyZiodynamic supercomputing software-based technology takes full advantage of Moore's Law. It leverages increases in processor power to enable:

  • Ongoing image quality improvements
  • Further reduction of noise and artifacts
  • Greater functional analytics
  • New regulatory cleared applications for state-of-the-art patient care
  • The gateway to 5D functional analytics
